Description:
The client's home was an extraordinary wood framed geodesic dome terraced into a rocky hill. They wanted to expand their home without disturbing its architectural character. The solution was to create a rectangular volume separated from the dome connected by a narrow glass enclosure. The addition contained the client's private getaway complete with two story English inspired library with spiral stairs, a master bedroom and luxurious bath as well as his and her offices. The addition's exterior composed of stone and wood inspired by the site's natural surroundings.
