Jump Tower Training Facility

Description:
The scope of work is for design and construction of a Jump Tower Training
Facility for the Kenyan 20th Parachute Battalion, Kenyan Department of
Defense (KDoD). This project is required to establish a jump school program
for the purposes of enhancing joint U.S. and Kenyan training exercises
within Kenya. Design and construction shall comply with the specifications
and requirements contained in the contract. The design and technical
criteria contained and cited in the contract establish minimum standards for
design and construction quality. This contract shall consist of design and
construction of a 34-foot jump tower with simulated side and ramp door
exiting including a fast rope platform for fast rope training operations.
Steel poles, support and guy cables, turnbuckles, concrete foundations and
deadman guy anchors are included in the scope of work. A four-station
swing-landing trainer (SLT) platform with roof will be constructed.
Supporting facilities include entry control post, access road, parking area
and site work. The jump trolley assemblies for the jump tower shall be
Government Furnished/Contractor Installed.
